Post subject:  back to bonsai

hello all.
Im new to this forum so thought it would be polite to introduce myself and bear with me if ive posted incorrectly.
Im not new to bonsai and have been growing them since mid 1990s. However, with family, career, etc i am guilty of neglecting my trees over the years, and see myself as still novice, leading me to lose quite a few and struggle with keeping interested. I adore these little trees and have convinced myself that next year I will be putting more effort in. In fact ive only just realised that the guide books have suggested the wrong general soil mix which ive used for years! Ive only just learnt the benefit of cat litter! I am posting a few pics of my trees in winter cover. Next year i intend to feed heavily and get back some nice foliage to my trees for future development. im based in Co Durham and will be asking for some advise on some of my "conundrum" trees. my trees are mostly grown from seed or cutting years ago. some images attached.
Cheers
Graeme

Welcome to the forum.

There are a couple of very good bonsai clubs up in your area so maybe some of the members live near you.

One of the clubs, Tees Valley are for the first time displaying trees at the Swindon 'Winter Image' show............ down south in Feb

I for one am looking forward to seeing their trees.

I quite like the look of your larch forest, but there is a lot of grass in the pot taking goodness from the trees. Maybe later you can photograph them individually and I am sure that the forum members will give you their ideas
