Hello everybody

I started into the art of Bonsai about 1 month ago. At the moment I have 5 trees.
I do not know much about Bonsai and never had any plants at home, but I am trying my best.
The trees I have ar all indoors.
I am also reading a couple of books (one by Colin Lewis and another from Peter Warren).

Hope this Forum can help getting further info.

Thanks!

Welcome to weetrees. Can you post us pictures of your trees and tell us what species they are. You may have trees that need to stay indoors (i.e. tropical trees) but many trees do better outside. We can advise when we know what you have.

Hi. Do you have anywhere that you can grow stuff outdoors. You'll find that your options are much wider if you have a sunny patch outdoors.

Hi!

Yes, as I do not have a place outside, I have them by the window. I believe that 4 of them will be fine indoors, but I have a tree which I do not know the species yet.

In this photo you can see:
- 2 Sageretia Theezans (one S shaped, and a small one)
- Ligustrum
- Chinese Elm

Here is one of the Sageretia Theezans:

And finally, the one I do not know the species: (If any of you recognises this species please let me know!!)

I'm sure this is a very common indoor species but as I don't have any of them I can't name it - somebody helpful will do so very soon. The elm and ligustrum (privet) will really prefer outdoor conditions to thrive so if you can give them as close to the real thing as possible - an open window in the day time for example will help a lot with light and air conditions.
