Hi everyone, My names Jason 46 years old been into bonsai on and off for years. My mountaineering days are now severely limited due to health issues so I am now finding all this free time to fill,so I am now looking to take my time with bonsai further.I still fly fish avidly, mainly on rivers(I only fish commercials during the close season),I fish for all species not just the assumed. Hoping to find I have something worth sharing,to make up for all the questions I will no doubt have. |

Hello and a warm welcome Jason, so do you have any trees ATM? If so what? If not then perhaps we can point you in the right direction? |

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I have placed all my previous tree's over the years with other people when climbing did not allow me the luxury of caring for them myself. So at this point I am just restarting. The ten I have at this moment in time are all starter tree's. I have tried taking photo's to upload but apparently the file size is to big(sorry I am not PC literate lol). Most if not possibly all of these will be grown on with the intention of taking bonsai from them in the years to come(thinking next three to five years probably).A few may be workable in thier own right but time will decide that as much as me. Species currently owned are as follows; Japanese Larch, Yew, Cedar Of Lebanon, Chinese Larch, Ginkgo, Hornbeam, Judas Tree (Loved this last time around), Liquid Amber, Dawn Redwood, Beech. Obviously it is the conifers at this stage that may have the most potential in my opinion. All tree's are in the two to four year range. I am in the market for workable tree's (aren't we all lol, always room for one more and all that),as the tree's above have been purchased as a more long term vision. If some one knows how to make file sizes smaller I have current pictures on my desktop that I am happy to put up. |

Jason. We find that storing our photographs with a hosting site such as photobucket, flickr or the like allows us to post true sized pics readily modified by the host for the purpose of forums or Email. See :- viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2957- |
