Hi everyone, really great forum you have here, I've been lurking since this time last year and thought it was time I introduced myself.
This time last year I listened to a "stuff you should know" podcast about bonsai and became extremely interested in the hobby.
As a teenager I had always been curious and had a number of 'grow your own bonsai' kits which included seeds and soil which never germinated.
So last year I bought myself a few plants from garden centres and started experimenting and reading this forum a lot!
One year on and I have a little something to show for it:
Lonicera nitida one year ago
One year later
Box ball that accidentally got sprayed with weedkiller
And now
Another lonicera, clumsy root pruning killed the apex
Now
Osmanthus delavyi with comical styling lol
And now

Have bought quite a few new trees this year but they are for another post. All critique welcome
