Hello! Been interested in bonsai since i was a kid, have a couple of trees from years ago that i grew, in need of tlc now.. been away from the hobby about 20 years but suddenly fired up about it again.. really great to see there is so much info out there now on the net, everything I knew I got from a book. Been trawling through the Herons bonsai vids on youtube..great stuff! Are there any other good video channels anyone can reccommend? Anyway just sayin hello from sunny Swansea

Welcome to weetrees and back to bonsai. I'd recommend anything by Ryan Neil of Mirai bonsai. He's got some free stuff on youtube and a subscription on his web site. Best in the business at explaining things IMO. |

Welcome and like you I took a 20 year break from the hobby. Watching the Graham Potter vid's got me fired up again. Bonsai Dream are also good, along with Bjorn Bjorholm. |

Hello Eifion, welcome! My parents live in Ogmore by sea so we occasionally go to Swansea. More often to Cardiff though, sorry about that! My video recommendation is Nigel Saunders - his style is much more natural and down to earth than some of the more famous bonsai artists. As well as excellent potting horticulture, and the usual bonsai species, he also tackles all kinds of unusual species which is pretty entertaining. |
