My bonsai blog has been getting literally thousands of hits (over 7k alone last month) and the thought crossed my mind about monetising it. On reflection, I'm not going to as ads are annoying, but I was interested in how much one can actually make from monetising blogs and how much per click etc? Anyone here have any experience? |

I've not looked at Ur blog for abit thanks for reminding me, my mate does it with YouTube he gets 80-100 a month dont really kno the ins n outs of it, but I'd say if it keeps growing do it |

As much as that? wow seems like more than I was expecting? I thought youtube revenues were almost farcical? I'm not sure why mine is suddenly getting so many, it's a huge jump bearing in mind that over winter I update once a month at most - but I do use a lot of SEO techniques to get optimum traffic levels |

Blimey it's a huge topic but basically, adding keywords to pics, cross forum linking, embedding URL's everywhere, linking pages to other pages and so on ad nauseum. There's also some cheeky tricks that you can use like hiding links in your signature and them spamming the heck out of forums, the more links to your blog that appear online the more traffic you generate and the higher ranking you get on google. For clarity and simpicity in case anyone doesn't know SEO = Search Engine Optimisation. How to design your web pages / blogs etc to maximise the chances of it appearing at the top of a list from a search engine such as google. |

Unless you insert ads it is hard to monetise. Is there a product or service that you can offer - use your site as a steer towards that? |
