I know what you mean, I've only really had time for it since I retired.

A4 portrait or A3 landscape depending on the shape of the tree would be nice

I'm thinking that people would only want this for their show standard trees, do you think? People wouldn't want drawings of their average garden bench type trees would they?

Yes. I think your market might only be for very high value trees with a lot of sentimental value as well.

Have you ever tried your hand at the type of scrolls that accompany bonsai display?

Especially ones that depict bonsai?

No I haven't, Brendan. I'm not keen on them personally so I don't think I'd be any good at doing them.

I could definitely see a market for drawings or paintings of famous trees like goshin and the like, I mean who wouldn't want a painting of goshin on their wall?

I know several people who back in the day had paintings of trees, usually about A3 size.......... but then you will have to find someone who has a nice enough tree and they have a wall just waiting for the picture.

Suggest you put your services out there and hopefully find someone to start the ball rolling. If you do a good one, let me know and it could always be displayed at the Swindon show, to try and drum up some more??

I suppose that if you did one of Will's then you could always use a bit of artistic eye and improve it ..................... :132doh: :07hysterical:

Only kidding mate, and I like your pictures, too talented for me

Good idea, Paul, and thanks for the offer at the Swindon Show. I'll have a go at doing a couple and see how it goes :smallthumb:
