Just a bit of fun but if you had up too £100 to spend for Christmas on a tree / trees what would you buy ? find something online and post it here ? Other bonsai related products are allowed , you never know you may get them from santa ............ but not from me

If it has to be around the £100 mark it would have to be these http://www.premierbonsai.co.uk/contents ... 30978.html as the trees for that price IMO won't fit in on my table |

6 bottles of cheap whisky. It’s bonsai related, honest. Also, I’m looking for some good cotoneaster horizontalis shohin material. |

I think I'd rather spend £100 on raw material and get a few decent projects rather than a mediocre pre trained tree. Nice trees are so expensive and the fun part has already been done. Don't get me wrong if I had loads of money I'd have an impressive collection of masterpieces though Unless there are some eBay bargains local to you or you are in a club where someone wants to reduce their collection. Then you could get something decent for ur money |

Like a lot of us, I have too many tools and Trees........... better to improve the ones I have got. Therefore I would ask for a workshop or several workshops with my local expert........... https://www.mendipbonsai.co.uk/ Other experts are available and you can use the one nearest to you......

Sizzla wrote: or you are in a club where someone wants to reduce their collection. Then you could get something decent for your money You can get quite a nice tree for £100 from a club sale. From a trader I'd only go for raw material myself. All the "finished" trees I like cost far more than I'm willing to spend. Some of my bonsai pals despair of this, feeling I should spend out on some really nice (expensive) trees but hey-ho different choices. |

A really nice bit of raw material for me, something from a car boot or show auction. That or Albero's suggestion of one bottle of good Whisky! |

I'd be buying the timber to build a new bench (OK well some of the timber - big plans). |
