Hi,

I was thinking about paying for a subscribtion of Bonsai Mirai, It seems very interesting, and Ryan has a huge knowledge and a particular way to teach.

Has anyone prove the subscription?

Thank you!

Yes - I signed up and thoroughly enjoy it. There are 3 levels. Level 1 is watch live only - not usually convenient. Level 2 (which I have) is access to the archive store so you can watch the weekly videos when it suits you. The downside is you don't get access to the advanced topics. Level 3 is all topics and Q&A sessions.

It costs a fair bit as you'll know and obviously the more you watch the less new stuff there is each time. The videos are also all about 2 hours long which is either brilliant or time consuming depending on your point of view. Nothing can be downloaded - only viewed whilst you have an active subscription.

Overall I'm very happy with it and will probably go to level 3 shortly to get the advanced subjects. He clearly knows his stuff and is also a good teacher and communicator.

Hi Gary, I think the best option is the 3rd level however it is the expensier, but sure it worths.
The lenght can be tedious but we can see them in parts :)

The only thing is that I suppose the videos don’t have subtitles, have they?I’m from Barcelona and I always miss something...

Thank you!!

I'm on tier 2 and its worth every penny. I love relaxing each friday with a quality 2 hour video session. Considering tier 3.

I've watched most of the lectures published to YouTube and have thought about subscribing.

Follow-up question:

How much content is there for broad-leaf trees? As much as I love my pines and juni's, that's all he seems to talk about on YouTube.

He is more focused on pines and junipers but has addressed that unbalance with quite a few videos on broad-leaf trees. There will always be a bias but its not totally one sided.

He did amazing work on that Cedar, looked awesome after. re the deciduous content, yeh theres a few great streams in there, enough of a mix to keep me subscribed. he's got more planned, in the pipeline...you can see he's beginning to enjoy the work he does with deciduous. been watching a few months now myself.

I'm sure Bobby is referring to the Atlas cedar stream which has just come out for subscribers.

hi guys yeh ive been subscribed a few months now. even if its a species im not really into like a juniper or something ill just leave it playing in the backround. its all invaluable info. i love taxus so a lot of the stuff he does on conifer can be applied. i remember watching the vid he did on deciduous structure...after he worked on that raw field grown tilia, i went out and bought a raw hornbeam i was so inspired. must have watched that stream alone about 4 times.its well worth the money if you havnt subscribed yet
