Really sad news.

I remember my early days with Don, This must be going back at least 15 years probably more when we were on the previous forum ( I cant remember its name now)
He never knew how to take my irreverent wit and we did have the odd disagreement over how to word thing ;-)
However we became fast friends over the years.
Whenever I was in the area I popped in (not as much as I would have liked) I will miss him and his banter but the legacy he built along with the members on here will be a valuable resource we can all remember him by.

Oh no. What a sad sad loss. If he was a fraction of the family man and friend in the real world as he has been on this forum then I never met his better.

My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

He will indeed be missed. He was a guiding strength behind this forum, making sure everyone stayed in order as well as offering tree advice, particularly to the newest members.

My thoughts to his wife, children and grandchildren who will no doubt miss him deeply.

Ah, what a shame. I never met him, but I think anyone who posted on this forum for a few years will be familiar with his constant presence and guidance.

RIP.

Don was and will always be remembered as an absolute gentleman. It's a damn shame he will no longer bring his wit, humour, iron fist and knowledge to the world and the forum. I was in the forum in the early years and watched it grow with great people, great humour, great advice. It's a shame. As has been said above. Condolonces to his family. I'll try and catch up with Mary on Facebook in a few days. Not really sure what else to say. The world is a loss without him in it. It's a simple as that.
