Thanks so much! But I am very self-critical. After I watched some Y-T videos of SerpaDesign recommended by Keith, like this one: How to Propagate Your Own Moss, I see several things that could be a lot better. for example my drainage layer of pebbles is probably double the thickness it needed to be. I'm resisting the urge to go in there and start again! So I bought two more glass jars I seriously shouldn't be getting into this... but I think I'll try doing one with a small ficus to see how it fares. |

1 year on, this terrarium is almost zero maintenance! The only things I've done: - Last November I added two cuttings from a croton which seem to do fine in humid air and dryish soil. - added a few drops of water every three or four months - cleaned the glass a couple of times and glued the glass where something fell on it.
