My bee log sits on the fence above my growing trees. All the trees including my english silver birch are untouched but the leaf cutter bees obviously love the himalayan birch leaves. We need the bees so i am not going to target them. |

I get a lot of leaf cutting on a lime I have. No idea whether its bees or beetles though. |

Coincidently I am planning to DIY a log for bees, ladybirds, etc. Any tips? |

There are lots of designs using short pieces of bamboo in a box or twigs etc. It is not simple to drill my design without a bench drill. I did do mine with a hand drill but my arms ached afterwards. |

This is the culprit. With most bees, the pollen is stuffed into hairy receptacles on their hind legs called corbiculae. Leaf cutter bees carry it on their abdomen.  [url=https://flic.kr/p/2gAMJdr]
