Hello everyone, I haven't posted for quite a long while. My elder sister became ill last year and as she had no other family it fell to me to rally round and other things including my trees became quite neglected. She's resting in peace now so I'm trying to get back to normal. My eldest son has become interested in bonsai so last Tuesday we took a trip to Greenwood in Nottingham in the car. It was a round trip of 186 miles and took three hours to get there and two hours forty minutes to return. It was my first visit and I have to say it was worth every minute stuck in the car! A fabulous place! Full of trees of all different species from seedlings to showstoppers. We stayed almost two and a half hours and came away with a small deshojo maple for myself and a lovely larch for my son. I highly recommend anyone to take a trip there if possible, you will not be disappointed with the warm and friendly welcome and offers of free advice. Thank you Greenwood I only wish I lived a little closer to you! Roger |

Sorry to hear about your sister. I bought a Deshojo from Green woods a couple of years ago. This year I slip potted it into a larger pot with a good open mixture and it is romping away. |
