I agree with you guys, my China Mist banner is still on here but as you've said we have a real drop in visitors and interaction. I too have spoken with John about ways to re-engage the bonsai community. I guess FB, Insta, Twitter etc are taking over.

Maybe those of us who want weetrees to survive should commit to making some new posts.

I'm not on Facebook, or social media. I have been really busy the last 18 months since moving to a new/old house renovation. So my trees have had minimal attention.

Hopefully we get some activity in the spring as I still check here often.

Could we do one of those capcha things for new registees to distinguish them from bots?

For sometime now I have been thinking about posting and asking where everyone had gone. Not only the recent posters but the old names from a few years ago. The work they were putting on of their trees was a great inspiration to me and especially when I was still at The Stick in the Pot stage. I for one would love to know how those trees of Bobby Lane's are getting on and especially after the large chops he did.

I have been on a fairground model forum for many years and that too is suffering, even though new models are still being made. Like a previous comment I too believe that that is down to Facebook. Facebook has its place but a forum is a wonderful thing for following threads and being able to return to them, again for inspiration.

Equally I am sure Paul is right that the lack of shows etc is not driving things forward. I am on the committee of the local history group and we are having one hell of a job to entice our members back to meetings.

Horrible times.

Could you help, Im trying to post images from Flickr but when I try to submit the post I get an error message "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image." What am I doing wrong?

I've never been a prolific poster but have noticed the fall off in traffic on WeeTrees.

I'm not a fan of the Facebook Group type of arrangement, it just seems to be one long stream of posts and it becomes very hard to follow anything long term, in fact after a couple of days any posts disappear into the pit of despair.

I guess we need to get active, even though this is a quiet time of year bonsai wise, and post some stuff in order to keep the site active.

I still use Flickr to download images on here. The resolution I use is 1024 x 781

Hope that helps

Keith

I'm still doing Bonsai, (or trying to), but just don't seem to come on here as much as the old days. I have found the same scenario with forums for other hobbies I have been involved with over the years.
I think lockdown has had a negative impact and I, for one, just tend to 'keep myself to myself' a lot more now.

Maybe I will resolve to get back to things in 2022 and do some updates and new projects.
