A report from one of the Swindon club members with photos......... https://swindon-bonsai.co.uk/2025/03/17 ... arch-2025/ It's just a shame that there aren't large event centres around the UK, otherwise more shows could be arranged. |

If Tim was asking about White Pines and his difficulty in keeping them, then I was also sitting in the room watching the demo. It was good to have this venue in the Midlands. As mentioned on one of the YouTube videos, most large shows are south of the M25. |

I bought a chunky privet stump and a couple of pots. Saw a nice beech and massively regret not bringing it home. |

I bought a small Hawthorn, a couple of pots, mesh and a large turntable. I was going to buy a small Trident maple. Walked past it a couple of times but when I decided Yes it had gone. Serves me right. |

There are venues out there, probably not as big as Newark, but it needs a driving force to arrange these events, initial financial backing is also helpful, but incoming finances from traders and visitors should cover any costs. It just needs a few people to arrange things. I also think it is good to have a big event in the Midlands and hope that the initiative is taken up by those enthusiasts further north. The Newark show had quite a bit of help from UKBA, supplying backdrops etc and they are willing to help others, they just need to be asked. |
