We've become somewhat international since starting up only four years ago and there is a lot of knowhow to glean from our members. We welcome all grades of expertise and are sticking to our friendly reputation. As always, the only silly questions are the ones which are not asked. Thanks to all who help with answers and suggestions.

Thank YOU don, I think this is stil the nicest bonsai forum out there. everyone is welcomed, even a beginner can ask anything and show their "trees" and is given advice instead of being told off (that's not bonsai, that's just a stick in a pot, better get another hobby.... or rubbish like that) No big egos here. Keep up the good work !!! |

Don't forget that JohnF set the site up, I roped in a couple of dozen early members but you are the people who have made it grow. Keithmart and I do the day to day job of keeping unsavoury characters out but we still have to go to John for modifications or to sort out intricate problems. We're learning as we go. Just remember that we are a family forum, keep the nastiness at bay and we'll maintain our reputation. I trust that you will tell me if I get too near to the knuckle in the 'gottalaff' thread.  It's noteworthy that there is always a nucleus of members who are very active at the same time. Not always the same people. The majority of members come in and browse but say little. Are they shy or is there something about us which is intimidating? I hope not. Come on in, the water's lovely. |

I would say to anyone who 'browses' but never comments 'Let us have your thoughts and questions'. No question is too silly or irrelevant. We don't care if you don't have trees worthy of exhibition. We don't even care if your written English isn't perfect. Just write.
