So an update on this one, I had to dig it up this weekend as I'm moving house later in the year. I couldn't remember if I ever put a tile/board under this tree, I got my answer on the weekend:     I've put it in a crate and will ground layer this year to encourage more roots higher up so I can start cutting back the ugly ball of roots further down. whoops  lesson learnt.... don't forget your boards!!!

Its been a few years so thought I would update this thread... haven't been on here for ages, does not look like much is goin on anymore? 2017 - Put it on a board  2019 - Angle change and tried a ground later...  2020 - Ground layer closed so did another one  Got one root to pop so added root grafts
