Hi all,

My very latest problem, discovered today, is that the freshest shoots on a weeping willow cutting are infestated with ... something. I have had this for around two months, having bought thee rooted cuttings mid spring. They have been growing like topsy, as you would expect from Willow, but now one cutting is being attacked on all the growing tips. The other two look fine for now, but I'm worried for obvious reasons!

Any ideas what is attacking the tree, and how to stop it? Are my other trees at risk? Eek. ::dunno:

I used to find the same when I tried to grow these larger leafed willow.......they are hard work and could just be a fungus or over/under watering.

In order to get it weeping it will need to be wired or use some other method. Asthey grow so quick wire can also be a problem cause it cuts into the fleshie bark very easily.
