Hello all, I have a quick question. When is a good time to repot a juniper? I live is south Texas and its late winter, weather is around 50 degrees but suppose to get very cold in february. |

Wait until late winter or early spring if you know the tree and have had it a few years and can be sure it is healthy. Otherwise wait a season to make sure it is well and then do it next season. |

I am well underway into my re-potting now. However, I stick them in my unheated greenhouse to keep out of wind and rain, plus it keeps them a degree or two warmer. |

It's a big place with multiple different USDA temperature zones...so there's no one-size fits all answer. The real question is "Does it really need repotting?"...unnecessary repotting kills far more trees than not repotting at all. |

I live in Victoria TX, which is about 3 hours from the Mexican border. I think its time I have had the juniper for a year and its doing great, but its in the same nursey pot so I think its time to repot. |
