Totally agree. When they’ve dropped their leaves I shall do some more tweaking John. This was very much a first stage to get them planted in one go as you recommended. Definitely think it helped to get all the major trees in at this stage. It was quite a jigsaw puzzle with the roots. Quite happy to add outliers later when I get to potting. Have become rather obsessed with group plantings at the moment with several others following along using a variety of species
