What a glorious collection of wonderful trees! Thank you, Keith, for finding it and posting. I was especially impressed by the winter outline of the massive deciduous trees, showing their beautiful bark. Two new names: Pinus morrisonicula - given by my RHS encyclopaedia as 'Taiwan White Pine', so related to our white pine, and Premna obtusifolia - not given in my RHS (somewhat to my surprise - it always knows!). Can anyone throw light on this? Finally - very few literati so far as I can see - possibly at 7.17 and again at 8.33, but massive chunky uprights seem to be the thing in Taiwan. J. |

My tree bible is The Hillier Manual of Trees and Shrubs, but, even that tome does not list Premna Obtusifolia. I'd love to know what tree that is. Grant |
