A wise move to take your time.

With Larch they grow so quickly you can easily regrow smaller pieces with no problem. What you can't regrow is the lower or inner stuff so be very sure before you remove that.

Felt like the lower branches still stuck out too much so i've wired them in a bit more. They seemed stiff so I've anchored them around the trunk with extra wire (kinda like guy wires I guess?) Have pruned back some of the wider top, and a bit more wiring all round

It gets better every time you post. Looking back at the original photos it's moved on a lot. Good work. Without wishing to be critical (or a hypocrite) I think you might want to brush up on your wiring skills in terms of tidiness and I think the Apex could be thinner and more upright in line with the overall look of the tree.

Haha yeah, you're right about wiring skills. Don't worry about being critical, it helps me learn. Straightening the apex - interesting - I hadn't thought of it, but can see that would make sense. Will try it out
