Yes, I also like the 3rd one in this set, and the first one in the original set. I think it's about movement in the trunk (not much in this tree) and seeing a clear structure in the primary branches. When you've removed more wood from the chop site and the trunk tapers into the primary branches it will start looking even better.

Thanks guys. Any reccomendations on what to do with those thick branches? Thanks for pointing out about removing more wood! Might seem obvious to some, but not to me lol!

I think it's all about taper. Your thick primary branches are about as big as they need to be but they are significantly smaller than the trunk so that's good, it looks like proper taper to me . The next thing here is lots of secondary branches coming off them, positioned nicely to complete the structure. I would want too much to extend too far now, so I'd keep on top of the pruning to encourage as much ramification and inner growth as possible. One of the bigger branches may just bug you and if you feel consistently that it's too big or too long then you'll need to cut it back but do that where you're sure rather than on a whim.

When you remove some more wood, let the branches grow out. This will help your cuts repair and callous. Remember that when you cut them back again you will get lots of back budding, plenty to choose from. You may want to slip your tree into a wider pot so that the nebari can take advantage of the increased vigour.

No obvious winner. But also no obvious weakness. A nice problem to have.
