Hi I've got a nice shohin acer shishi, but the foliage has now got very very dense. I'd like to allow light to the inner branches so those weaker buds don't die off. Do people leaf prune these (ie take one of each pair), partial defoliate, anything like that? I've not done ANY work to it in the time I've had it (about two years), bar a repot this Spring. Cheers, Michael |
