Anybody seen this before? Roots? Is it common for a jade?

Yes, if it's humid. Sometimes when a branch is about to drop off, it will root first. Jade are happy to root from any part and do so even if just lying on the ground.

Hi

Yes very common. As penny says they root easily anywhere.

:Big Thumb: When I was a youngster my mum had a money tree / jade and it used to propogate / flower by producing tiny pairs of leaves with roots. We just plucked them off to make new plants.

Fascinating. My Jade bonsai has never done this, but now I’ll know if it happens to me. Question is: is it okay to just cut off those roots to keep the tree in the shape is it right now?
