The DIY pot making didn't happen but I got something from Dan Butler that I really like. Today I did the re-pot and I'm very happy with it :grin:

I'll probably let the right side branches grow out more so it sweeps out over the right hand end of the pot.

@paulpash How is yours getting on ?

UPDATE …

This one grows very vigorously every year despite the roots being mostly inside the skull. I was surprised at the last repot how few had taken advantage of the growing space in the outer pot.

Decided to give this one a different pot this year to give the roots a free run for a year or two. (It’s on wooden blocks - they are not part of the pot).

I love my larches but they do have a habit of bursting into life when I haven’t quite caught up with the repotting. I have a couple at the moment that might have to wait another year as I think I have missed the rather narrow window.

There's a chap at our club that collects old model supercars like Porsche, Ferrari etc, He grows trees out of them and makes them in to kind of Dioramas!! :smallthumb:
