Does anyone have one of these watering lances from Kaizen? https://www.kaizenbonsai.com/japanese-w ... attachment

I was given one for my birthday and I'm quite disappointed with it. The pressure of the water is not much less than my bog standard hoselock one and it still disturbs the top dressing on my little pots. It was not cheap and I am thinking of sending it back so I wondered whether anyone else has any experience?

Can't you adjust the pressure with the tap? I just use a 'fine as rain' watering can attachment

I have this one and I don’t turn my tap on as much as I would using a normal one, then I use it upside down as less pressure took me a while to get used to it but it no longer disturbs the top dressing ;-)

I've used one for years and wouldn't use anything else.

Maybe my mains water pressure is too strong for it :200unsure: I only turn the tap on less than half a turn and it's too forceful. But if I turn the tap any less the water flow from the lance turns into a dribble.

You could try using a pressure regulator to reduce the mains pressure https://www.hozelock.com/product/pressure-regulator/

Thank you, Tom, I didn't know such a thing existed. It sounds worth a try.
