Have any of your azaleas gone this red before in autumn? It usually goes browny black but not this year. Maybe a sign of stress during summer? Seems healthy enough in other respects. Azalea, red leaves, November 2019 by Dave, on Flickr The cutting next to it comes from the same, that's the colour it usually turns at this time of year. |

I was told that the colour of the leaves in autumn varies depending on weather conditions. A very cold weather happening fast would bring more colours than a slow decrease. Or maybe that was a myth... |

Or maybe that was a myth... Sounds like it might be the case here, this year after summer the temperatures plummeted really rapidly, much quicker than normal. Also this year the Azalea has been more exposed to the sun and wind than previous years. |
