I think tackling a tree a night is an excellent way to keep on top of your trees at this time of year when the weather doesn’t fill you with enthusiasm to tackle lots in one session. Over the last few days I have tried to work outside but fingers freeze in minutes. If you’re not careful you can rush things and make mistakes but indoors you can take your time and end up with a much more satisfactory outcome.

Bit of jinning and some pinching . Might lose the jins as the tree doesnt need them  . I found pinching junipers doesn't leave brown tips like cutting .
Just opening it up a little ready for spring .

Agree but it does have its own problems ..... When you come back from the pub and think ....... you know what that tree needs :27drunk.

When I have a big project on, like wiring a tree I tend to bring them in the kitchen. My wife did her nut Tuesday when I brought a sylvestris in to the kitchen while she was out. She came home to around a thousand needles on the floor, off cuts of copper wire all over the work surfaces and me grinning like a pig in sh1t. lol

I've also had to bring flowering trees inside during the spring in order to speed up their flowering for Bonsai Expo in April. Bringing a tree in for a few days/nights won't effect them and if they are particularly susceptible to hard frosts it don't hurt to bring them in if you know the temps are going to plummet. Helps me sleep thats for sure.

That one was easy so i brought in an elm . Its been annoying me as all of the branches had been bent down but no further work had been done to it leaving it with very straight branches that all pointed down .
