Post subject:  Small leaved lime leaf discolouration

Hi everyone - I hope you're all keeping well during the lockdown.

My small leaved lime has some really strange discolouration on some of the leaves that I'm a bit worried about. Any ideas what it might be? Some sort of infection maybe?

Any help would be appreciated.

Never seen this before. Probably advisable to keep it away from other plants and bonsai "just in case".
Is it possible that some bleach, or window cleaner or similar spray has accidently splashed on the leaves?

That is very unusual. I think I would send the photo to the RHS and definitely quarantine the plant!

Is it possibly frost/ wind damage or sunscorch?

Thanks for the responses. It might well be just sun scorch, but I will keep it away from my other trees just in case.

The only thing I can find on the net is that a phosphorus deficiency can cause this. Fruit trees are apparently also heavy feeders .

Has it been exposed to weedkiller?
