I have had a grafted Ficus thrust upon me, I found it hard to say no. It's healthy but in a pot of compost. I have it outside for the moment which it seems to like (I will bring it into the greenhouse when the weather drops. I'm going to re-pot it now, a kind of slip pot. What I want to know is, if I want to wire it do I just pull the outside branches down to open up the crown a little any advice greatly accepted Regards C |

I don't know ficus so can't really comment although what you suggest seems reasonable, but those who do know ficus will want to see pictures. |

I have a ficus Retusa. It comes indoors at the end of September on the sunniest window sill I have. Goes back outside early May. I repot mine anytime of the year every couple of years. Wire whenever but it can cut in quite quickly. I don't think my species would enjoy the winter in a greenhouse though. Hope this helps. |
