I'm looking for a decent flat turntable. (non-extravagant)
Please show me pictorial examples of what you are using, the pros and cons of making your own, or buying one already made.
Regards
C

Find cheap cookshop. As used for Chinese food in the centre of the table

Serious answer...

These are good, I have quite a few for easy turning of larger trees on the benches and for working on trees in the shed. Some have been outdoors for several years and are still working just fine.

Thats a great price delivered daryl. I wouldn't be out of pocket at all on that purchase even if it was only for light-weight trees.
I was looking maybe to make one of these, below (as I have a CNC machine) but I will order one of the ones you suggested.

A Lazy Susan bearing may make the drawer combo below a viable propositon with somewhere to store my tools.

That looks really good!
I have a plastic turntable like in Amazon, but the bearings went on it, now it makes a sickly noise as it turns. I think the 30kg payload is a bit ambitious!

The Range or Ikea do a wooden one, but if you use it outside, rub it down and use an exterior finish

90% of my trees work fine on a cheap plastic one like those Daryl has shown. I spent a bit more on a more robust wooden one from Kaizen a few years back, <£40, and it does the job nicely for the larger trees.
