Cheers John, really enjoyed what you set up. Hope it continues with your approval.

I see from the Control Panel that I joined on 17 Nov 2009, so I suppose I too was one of the earliest members on Weetrees. Like so many others, my regular attendance fell away with the sad loss of Don, whom I saw as my mentor, and whose hospitality to me, with Mary his wife, was so warm on the weekend that I battled in my ancient Golf up those Sheffield hills to his castellated mansion bringing with me "pressie", my mountain maple, for an essential operation to remove rot from the centre of the trunk. Dr Don operated, with me assisting i.e. holding the tools, and the tree was saved and is now 13 years later a healthy and (to me) magnificent example of its species. Thank you Don!

And thank you, John, for your original inspiration to create WT, and all your subsequent work in maintaning it so that it became for me the primary source of any and all bonsai knowledge I might ever have pssessed. I owe you, we owe you, a huge debt, for all the pleasure, and learning, and inspirational knowedge WT has provided for us. May it go on to greater things under its new proprietors who, I hope, will maintain its spirit as they develop it. I don't visit that often these days, but when I do I hope to find my old friends ready with their advice as always, and their good humour.

John M.

I haven’t noticed any ‘changes’ on here yet except that I can no longer stay logged in the way I used to and it feels like another barrier to posting regularly if I have to log in with a password everytime I want to add a comment.

Is anyone else having this issue? It’s been like it for about a week now.

I only have to log in with password about once in every 8 visits, this is on my phone.

Interesting that 2 of you are OK so I think it is maybe a problem at my end.

Thanks for responding, Jay and Paul.

No log-in issues for me either, can't remember when I last had to log-in.

Thanks all. I deleted my bookmark and remade it after logging in and that seems to have worked. It’s a mystery how the bookmarked page changed itself but it seems to be working OK again now.
