Are oak tree this year taking longer to leaf out. my oak tree as just leaf out. Thought it was dead.

I only have two oaks, one in a plant pot and one in the ground that I am trying to thicken up the trunks. They have ben in leaf for two or three weeks now. In fact I did trim back the one in the pot last week.

I have 2 oaks collected in March. One leafed out in mid April , the other only came out 10 days ago- I dont understand why as they were both from the same location and of similar sizes , both with healthy roots, potted in same soil mix and kept on same bench! ::dunno:

My large one leafed out weeks ago. a little one leafed out this week. and the 3rd one died

I have 2 newly collected oaks, 9 established in pots. All leafed out within a week of each other - late May early June.

My Oaks are usually the last trees to leaf out, This year they were very early!! :eek:
