Yes my English hornbeam have started early this year expect because of the hot weather in June and the extreme weather rainy change in July and August.

What about this heatwave? I have a collected oak that looked like it died, but it seems it could be early senescence. Hope it wakes up next spring.

Im noticing a lot of Beech and Limes dropping leaves early this month.
I think its likely a response to the extreme heat wave? If so its a worrying trend and maybe a warning sign of worse things to come with the looming climate crisis as more and more extreme weather events continue to escalate ,though of course some people would still claim its all "Fake News"
