thank you for replies, i did have thoughts on this id because it is very simalar to whats growing in my local take away. the piggie bank is now acting as tray for tree to fruit,

Looks like a Crassula ovata or Jade Tree to me but I am happy to be corrected by someone with more experience than myself. Cheers Danny B |

just like to add another question regarding care of this little fella, i read on the internet using the link given above that the tree is an indoor tree (tropical) i have had this tree out side since the summer, now the weather is getting a lot cold do you think its better off indoors, or out during the day providing its not freezing and back into warmth of the house of a night, not sure if this kind of scheduale would be kind to the tree....

Keep it in all day until all risk of frosts are gone. Trees don't like frequent changing of conditions and will drop leaves. |

Good advice as always - now a warning. I had a similar tree, but the larger leaved version, and the trunk was almost 2" diameter. One night at minus 1 (in mid October) killed it ! It had been a present from a friend who had grown it for almost 15 years as a houseplant. Fortunately I had some cuttings, and one of the baby's is approaching the same size. |
