Every season has something special about it. My least favourite is summer! I don't like the heat at all. |

I love summer! The hotter the better! Since I have moved to Ireland I haven't had proper summer!! I was abroad for 1-3 weeks but I am really missing long 2-3 month of proper heat.  Apart of that everything is hunky dorry! ... and my mountain maple buds start to open

Hey Folks, (Sorry in wrong forum. Just started topic from bottom of another thread.) this came to me reading through Signs Of Spring (sorry still haven't figured out how to link to topics) Simply put... What is your Favourite time of Year or even you Least Favourite? Mine is simply the Month of September. The air is still warm but with the first cooling hints of Autumn. The summer haze is still hanging in the air but the dog days of summer have passed. I must admit that this is slightly dampened here in Wales compared to the Blue Ridge Mtns because of the climate difference; but still applies. Obviously i love this time (SPRING) with all the new life and Bonsai work. But those cool days that are just starting to pick up the first hints of summer warmth just don't stack up to September for me. |

Springs gotta be up there with most bonsai keepers. After (what seems) such a long winter wiv sfa to do on the tree (deciduous anyway) that we are all biting at the bit to get out in the gardens wiv our trees. I know my wife will be pleased that kitchen table will no longer be a bonsai work surface  . Summer time does it for me for many reasons those loooong days sometimes warm too. My arthritis is not so obvious to me and those evening walks down the beach and weekends crabbing are much more fun than in the winter. And of course the fish are biting alot more. So in a nut shell, Summer for me . |
