Cheers, I was literally thinking of changing medium and not touching the roots. Think I will go and get some later and and repot it, I don't have a good feeling about the current soil. Once repotted, should I leave it again for a few weeks? is it the low dust CL i'm looking for?

A little tip 'Please don't ask the same question in more than one thread' it might get misleading.

Yeah sorry about that, I realised that afterwards

If the local Pets at Home is still open by the time I get the car back I will go have a little look in there too.

Thanks once again Sensei ;) :D

Pets at Home was shut by the time I got the car this evening and was way too wet to get the bike out earlier, had to settle for the Tesco Cat litter.

Repotted the tree again, gave it all a good clean out to get rid of the crap soil. I attempted to wire the tree in too, although it doesn't seem much sturdier (probably my wiring).

The CL was much easier to work in than the soil so shall leave it well alone now and see how it goes. The only thing was, when watering a lot of the CL was exiting through the mesh at the bottom even though I sieved all the smaller stuff out. Might have to put another layer of mesh on the bottom of the pot to make the gaps smaller until next year.

I hope that you bought the right type.

And me! :? it was the lightweight low dust type that I bought which i'm pretty certain the type which someone recommended to me on here. It only came out to start with and then seemed to stop, lets hope it will settle now otherwise this tree is gonna hate me.

Now that it has been repotted in CL when should I start to feed it? I know before it was 3 weeks, but as I haven't pruned any of the roots this time would I start feeding it from the original 3 week date? or wait 3 weeks from repotting it this time to give it time to settle?

Yeah the tesco stuff is a lot smaller than what I was expecting it to be, although saying that when I watered it again earlier, nothing came out......so fingers crossed it will be fine. Damn pets at home closing early :bully:
