Hi All,

This is the first year i have used cat litter as a potting medium, and I am slightly worried about my trees drying out whilst im at work on hot sunny days.

I know many of you now use 100% cat litter, so how do you all deal with this problem?

My trees are under shade netting and I currently water my trees in the evening after work.

Thanks Chris.
As yet I've only used the CL on largish trees anyway. Not brave enough to try it out on my shohin yet!

As a seperate piont, have you had any problems getting moss to establish on the surface of CL?
If the surface dries out regularly will this not kill the moss?

Thanks Don,
Is this because the moss dries out and dies, or for another reason?

Ok I'll leave it off then.

How often do you water your trees in the summer Don?
Do you use CL on all your trees, even the small ones?
