I'm doing and air layer. When it comes to feeding the tree would the feed be too much for the new young roots which hopefully are sprouting underneath the moss or should i just use plain water on that bit?

Hi, what are you feeding?
-The airlayer still connected to the parent?
-The parent tree?
-The airlayer removed from the parent?

In the first instance NO NO, this does not get fed until it is at least 6 weeks from the parent.

Second - always a good idea, but not to overdo this.

Third - 6-8 weeks after the Toriki is removed from the parent tree you can give a light feed, 1/4 dose or less.

More trees are killed by overfeeding then by under feeding.

Yes the air layer is still connected to the mother tree, i was hoping to separate the two next month. Its just and ordinary tomatoe feed.

Thanks for that
