Hello

Complete newbie here and am keen to get going.
I've been given a Australian Flowering Gum Tree Bonsai kit. The instructions are somewhat contradictory - the box, which is branded for the Australian Flowering Gum, says that I should refrigerate for 6 to 10 weeks, but the appendix in the instruction booklet inside says that for Category A seeds (which includes the Flowering Gum) do not need refrigeration.

Could someone with a bit of experience suggest whether or not we need to refigerate our seeds first?

Many thanks!

Mudskipper.

If you are that keen, then do yourself a big favour and purchase some nursery or garden centre material material, some wire and have a go at 'Making' a Bonsai.
Get the seeds going, but you will have to wait several years before you can actually do anything, so you need something to do in the meantime. You will just give up on the hobby otherwise.

Plus, there is no guarantee the seeds will grow anyway and you dont see many Gum trees as Bonsai in this country.
