Does mycorrhizae survive in 100% inorganic substrate? Also does buying mycorrhizae and introducing to your soils usually have a successful out come? ie does the mycorrhizae colonise? Just wondering like

It does not only survive it thrives. I make sure that all my trees have or get mycorrhiza at repotting time. I use either soil from trees that have it or I use something like rootgrow. |

Do you add it to non-coniferous trees as well as your larches, pines, etc. arihato? |

Damn - another thing to buy come potting time!! Oh, and Arihato - I love the statement in your signature - makes me smile every time I read it! The Rootgrow is not that expensive, you could always check the trees from your mates for M. And scrape some soil from the bottom of their tree roots. Be sure to put it in contact with your root sytem when repotting. |
