You could try sieving it, then you'll have smaller stuff, and another mix for larger trees and ones in development? I'm going to pop out later and see if my local Tesco has some as my supplies are getting a bit low and I don't want to get caught come mad repotting season!

Try New Safety Tread Industrial Spillage Absorbent. It is the same moler clay and small granules.

Hi all
I have been using Tesco cat litter for about six years as most of my trees are small and I find it very good I mix it with one part vermiculite but I bought a bag the other day and found the particle size much bigger than usual has anyone else found this or is it just a one off? I really don't like these big chunks, much preferred it the way it was

Have you got a picture of what it looks like? I'd like to see before I go and buy a few bags ready for spring

Picked up a bag today to try. Comparison with Sanicat for you - more or less the same now.

Personally I always thought Tesco low dust was a bit small, but it was very convenient. I haven't opened the bags I just bought, but will be more than happy if it's bigger.

I used to sieve mine and keep the larger particles to mix with my composted bark, But as the trees got bigger and better i swapped for Akadama

Great thanks for that, yes im quite pleased with that size of particle. The last few bags I bought before the shortage were very dusty

Aww I was hoping they’d still have small particles as most of my trees in training are tiny mame/shohin size. :/ I bought a bag this morning but haven’t opened it yet.
