Post subject:  new bonsai stand
I've had a few bits of yew kicking about in the garage for the last couple of years so they are well seasoned and dried. As i have a bit of time on my hands i decided to see if i could fashion a stand from one of the pieces which was a couple of inches deep.
I leveled off both sides and then used my router to removed the wood from the inside / underside.

I then used my bonsai GMC tool and bits to do the finishing work.

Yes, my friend Roger is a quality carpenter and has a far better understanding of wood finishing compared to me so I have given him the stand and he expects this to take 4 or 5 days.
