Is it possible to make pots/containers from left over patio slaps?
As have a few left over from recent work and don't want to waste them, my thinking is they would blend in and do something different.
Thoughts appreciated!

I think you're going to have to be creative here and come up with your own ideas. You could make a pot in just one slab for example - I've done this once before with a rock from a river - drilled and chiselled out a small pot in the rock and planted an elm in it. You could use one as the base and arrange other pieces to make a pot by sticking them all together Using some sort of epoxy/resin. For the base slab you'd then just need to drill out drainage holes and wire holes which would be easier than carving a pot. I'm not much of a handyman and yet I managed to do this with a rock so I'm sure you'll be able to do it with some slab pieces. Give it a go and see.

Technically you can use anything, after all it's just to hold the soil in place so the roots survive......... Not sure you would want to carry it too far or too much or exhibit it in/on one.
Give it a go and then let us see what you have constructed.
Ceramic posts are mainly used as it warms up quickly and is beneficial to the root system.
