I'm still working on back budding and didn't want to remove any more foliage at this point. I have a couple of other trees that are a touch yellowing including a larch. I live in a hard water area. Next growing season I was going to try to use rainwater, ericaceous and Epson salts to hopefully alleviate the yellowing. I'd like to remove all downward growing needles but I'll wait until next summer when the new growth appears! Thanks for the opinions. |

Maybe it would look more balanced without the jin, or shorter... but I agree with Penny Ann, leave it a year or so before you decide. Once it's gone you can't get it back! |

Larch turn colour at this time of year and some pines also hold a more yellow colour it doesn't mean that anything is wrong. Also Superglue is a must in any bonsai toolbox |

Just found this picture of it from about five years ago. I think this is the back view though. It was definitely a lot greener then. Amazed myself by the development! |

I felt this tree was a bit boring in it's style. So today I created more trunk movement and removed some branches. Here it is... |
