In the past I used to use misters for irrigating large numbers of planting troughs within a big urban landscape projects . I personally wouldnt use them again. Id recommend using drippers as much less wastage and it targets the water directly into the individual pots without soaking the foliage. |

I would avoid misting and go with a dripper. A few years ago I spoke to a bonsai grower who said he stopped mist spraying (his nursery used it all over) as the mist on the leaves caused mildew issues with certain species. He mentioned a few but all I remember was oak and hornbeam. Srewfix have a neat little timer that has good reviews if you do want to go "automatic". Has anyone here tried it yet? https://www.screwfix.com/p/verve-progra ... lsrc=aw.ds My father-in-law is in palliative care and I am going to set-up this plus the dripper system for his trees. Should be good enough for the summer. |
