Thanks for the birthday wishes guys...
I thought I best buy something of interest, something that has a little history, collected as Yamadori (by Ian)
A long way to go for this tree yet so hopefully I can keep it and myself alive long enough to see some major advances over the comming years.
Today I rearranged the crowded bench somewhat (need a rethink here for next year) maybe reduce numbers and buy just a few advanced trees.
I reapplied some ferts. today..they are all still alive... a point to note the Dawn Redwood has really come on...it likes water after all hahaha. Just bought a little stainless steel dentistry probe set to aid with the weeding...£4 is on the Bay of Fleas...and, a lesson from this season alone is to construct some kind of retractable shade cloth, especially for the maples.

A little light rain never hurt anyone!
Whilst everything seems to be growing strongly, I do feel we need a serious rethink on the expansion of our current site :07hysterical:
